Prenatal Appointments
Prenatal visits occur at the Peace River Medical Clinic, located within the Sunrise Medical Centre. This is also where Peace Diagnostic Imaging is located for some ultrasounds. Surgical consults with our local family physician surgeons (FP-ESS, FP-OSS) would occur here as well.
Obstetrical Triage and Delivery
For any urgent obstetrical concerns present to the Peace River Community Health Center. If it is during daytime hours (7am-11pm) you will enter through the front door and register at the front desk. If you arrive after hours you will need to enter through the emergency department. They will direct you to the acute care ward if you are more than 24 weeks pregnant. This is where lab tests, some ultrasounds, non-stress tests, public health nursing and chronic disease management (gestational diabetes specialty nurses) are located.
